AXA Road Safety Roadshow 2016 
Takes place on Wednesday 10th February 2016. Students to attend class for period 1&2. They will then be accompanied to the Royal Theatre by supervising Teachers. Students to return to class for 1:45pm

Science Week.

This year Mayo Science & Technology Festival is organising a free showing of An Inconvenient Truth for Transition Year and 5th Year Secondary School students in Mayo.  The showing of ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ will be held in Mayo Movie World, Moneen, Castlebar on Thursday 12th November 2015 at 11am. All our Transition Year Students will attend this event.

Filmmaker Davis Guggenheim follows Al Gore on the lecture circuit, as the former presidential candidate campaigns to raise public awareness of the dangers of global warming and calls for immediate action to curb its destructive effects on the environment.

Fire Safety Week
As part of Fire Safety Week all Transition Year Students will visit Castlebar Fire Station on Friday 9th October at 2:00pm where the will receive a tour of the building and get the chance to observe a fire Safety Demonstration. For more information on Fire Safety click here
First Aid Course provided by the Irish Red Cross Takes place on the 5th and 6th November. This is a certified course so 100% attendance is compulsary in order to obtain certification.

Drugs Task Force Presentation

The Garda Regional Task Force will make a presentation to all Transition Year Students on Wednesday 9th Sept. They hope to help prepare students for social events like Junior Certificate result night.   Please see Teenage Years information poster in our downloads page.

Transition Year Parents Information Evening will take place on Thursday 3rd September 2015. A copy of presentation given to on the night is available in the download section.
